Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NTPCO ("we", "us") handles information in the Winnow app for iOS ("the App"). Winnow is designed to help you reclaim storage on your device while keeping your photos private.

1. Photos & videos stay on your device

All analysis — finding duplicates, screenshots, large videos, blurry shots, grouping by location, and video compression — runs locally on your iPhone using Apple frameworks (PhotoKit, Vision, AVFoundation). We do not upload, transmit, copy, or store your photos, videos, thumbnails, or their contents on any server. Deletions are performed through Apple's system, and cleaned items go to your device's Recently Deleted album (recoverable for 30 days).

2. Permissions we request

• Photos: required so Winnow can scan your library and suggest what to clear. Used only on-device.
• Contacts (optional): if you choose to find duplicate contacts, Winnow reads contacts on-device to detect duplicates and saves a local .vcf backup before any change. Contact data is never uploaded.
• Location: Winnow reads the location already stored in your photos' metadata to group them by place. It does not track your live location.

3. Anonymous usage analytics

To understand how the App is used and improve it, we collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics through Amplitude, processed on Amplitude's EU data centers. This may include:

• App events (e.g., a scan started, a category opened, a cleanup completed) and counts/sizes involved;
• App version, device model, and OS version;
• An app-generated, anonymous identifier that is not linked to your name, Apple ID, email, or contacts.

We do not collect the content of your photos, videos, file names, or any personally identifying information through analytics. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Data we do not collect

We do not create accounts, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, precise location, or the contents of your library. The only way we hear from you directly is if you email our support address.

5. Support communications

If you contact us at contact.ntpco@gmail.com, we receive the information you include in your message (such as your email address) and use it solely to respond to you.

6. Data retention

Anonymous analytics are retained by our analytics processor for as long as needed to operate and improve the App, subject to their retention policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to assist you.

7. Children

Winnow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Your choices

You can revoke Photos, Contacts, or Location access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. You may request that we address questions about your data by emailing us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
