Where these numbers come from
These are typical values for High Efficiency recording (HEIC photos and HEVC video), based on the storage figures Apple has published for earlier iPhones and on common measurements. Real files vary with the scene, light and motion: a busy 4K scene can be much bigger than a calm one. Videos recorded in Most Compatible (H.264) can be about twice the size. 1 GB is counted as 1,000 MB, like the iPhone does. Use the result as an estimate, not a promise.

Questions
How much storage does one minute of 4K video use on an iPhone?
About 170 MB at 30 fps and about 400 MB at 60 fps when recording in High Efficiency. A 10-minute 4K 60 fps clip is therefore around 4 GB.
How big is a ProRAW photo?
Around 25 MB at 12 MP and up to about 75 MB at 48 MP, against a few MB for the same photo in HEIC. ProRAW is available on Pro models.
Why is the total different from what iPhone Storage shows?
iPhone Storage counts every file, including iCloud-optimized photos, edits and system data. This calculator only adds up the files you enter, using typical sizes.
